It is true and certain that we will stand before the Judgment Seat of God one day. No one will be exempt. We will all be there. The problem today in this nation is that so many people live as if there were no Judgment Day. They probably don't even believe in a Judgment Day. We need a nation that lives in the fear of God. We can only pray that our nation will turn around from its present course and return to God. That's our only hope. Until we as a people wake up and recognize that there is a Judgment Day, we have little hope. Yet, our prayer is that the nation will wake up and that God will send another Great Awakening to this land like He did before

Judgement is falling on us as a nation. We laugh now when we should be mourning. We are joyful when we should be filled with gloom. Greater judgement is coming and we go on our merry way as if all things were okay when they are not. We need to humble ourselves as a people before the offended God. Now is a time for mourning.

The heart of our fathers needs to be restored to us. We need to regain the rich Christian heritage that our fathers planted in this land. We come from deep Christian roots in this nation. Our fathers trusted in the God of Heaven. They had no intention to separate this nation from God. On the contrary they acknowledged the true God every step of the way. Today, we are trying to throw off our Christian heritage. We are trying to completely secularize the country and disavow the morals of our forefathers. If we continue on this road, we face sure and certain judgment. Even today His warning judgements are upon us. Yet it is not too late to turn around.

We don't need gigantic mega churches or elaborate sound and projection systems, or expert worship leaders and worship bands. We have all of this in abundance. What we need are people who will tremble at the Word of God. We need people who will mourn over their sins. We need people who fear God. When we begin to see these kinds of people in our churches. Then, we will know that revival has come. We will know that God has come down to visit us. God delights in those who are humble and contrite in spirit and who tremble at His Word. We need to pray that their number will increase. We need to ask God to send His Spirit down to produce those kinds of people among us. We have enough of mega churches, elaborate sound and projection systems., worship teams, and praise songs without number. What we need is what we don't have: those who tremble at the Word of God.

When true revival comes, we may see much of what we see in worship today come to an end. God wants us to get back to the basics and get rid of all this stuff we have accumulated in our churches. He wants our hearts.

Until we fear God again as a people, we will not prosper as a people. Our nation has been blessed because former generations feared God and unless we recover that fear of God, our nation will not survive. Nations in the past have been judged because they forsook God. Our nation is not exempt from such an end. Yet, we must not give up. We must pray for the restoration of the fear of God among our people.

Today, our Sundays have become an insult and offence to God and we seem not to care. We continue to go our own way and do our own things and seek our own pleasures and could care less what God thinks. Such an attitude spells disaster for the nation which will surely come if we do not repent.

We make up our own morals and think God should let His face shine upon what we have created. We conveniently forget from where we have come and have turned our backs on the God of our forefathers. We have created a false morality. We have rejected God's laws and created our own laws in their place. That's why movies today are filled with curse words and immorality, things an earlier generation thought were wrong. We have rejected the morality of our forefathers and established our own. Today, we can have our super bowls on Sunday and do anything else we like because we have rejected a morality that once ruled the land and we have established our own.

Our sins have not gone unnoticed by God. He knows our national sins. He has seen our wickedness. He has been withholding his judgement though he has warned us and disciplined us already. Yet, He will not always hold back his wrath. We as a nation are in grave danger and don't even know it. We go along in our sins and continue to pile them up in the face of God. We have little fear of God in the land. Because of this we face sure and certain judgement unless we turn around before its too late. Is there no hope for the nation at this point? Have we gone too far and is their no turning back? Are we doomed to judgement? The answer is "No!" Our only hope is a national spiritual revival and repentance as a nation resulting therefrom.

Jesus is on the throne. He is reigning from heaven. He has sent forth His church into the world to make disciples of all the nations. He is spreading His kingdom and destroying the devil's domain. He will continue to reign and the world will be swallowed up by His Kingdom. Pioneer missionaries such as William Carey saw this clearly and though only one convert had been won after five and one-half years, Carey and his colleagures said, "He was only one, but a continent was coming behind him. The divine grace which changed one Indian's heart, could obviously change a hundred thousand." There are those today who are gazing into heaven looking for the Lord to return soon. Yet, the Lord did not call us to stand gazing into heaven. He called us to go and make disciples of all the nations. Our task is not done. The Messiah's reign in this world is not complete. His Kingdom still needs to spread throughout the world to all peoples and nations.
