Jan then moves on to a commentary as to why ears might be closed today when people try to tell loved ones about what is happening in the world. She closes with a short commentary on the slaughter of the innocent, including children, in Itmar, Israel. The ordeal doesn't end with the death of an Israeli family. The Palestinians then dance in the street celebrating the disaster. Yet the story is buried in Western newspapers, not covered at all, or in some cases, denigrates Israeli "settlers" who were the victims of this tragedy.
