My Source of Strength

December 31, 2024

It’s natural to rely on our own strength to get through the day, but what happens when our abilities run dry? Today, Pastor Jack Morris reminds us of the importance of turning to God, our ultimate source of strength and endurance.

Reflect on Isaiah 40:31: “But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” No matter how overwhelming life may feel, God’s strength is always sufficient to carry us through.

As we begin a New Year, it’s the perfect time to start fresh with God. Pastor Jack Morris invites you to reflect on the words of Lamentations 3:22-23: “Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness.” No matter where you’ve been or what challenges you’ve faced, God offers a new beginning filled with His love, grace, and faithfulness. Let this New Year be a season of renewal, drawing closer to Him and embracing His plan for your life.

During this season, we all enjoy the giving and receiving of gifts. It’s a tradition that traces its roots back to the story of the Nativity and the Wisemen who, bearing gifts, followed a star that led them to Jesus. Pastor Jack Morris is going to take us to Matthew Chapter 2 today as we delivers the message, The Wisemen’s Gifts. Mattew 2:10-11 When they saw the star, they were overjoyed. On coming to the house, they saw the child with his mother Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped him. Then they opened their treasures and presented him with gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh.

Today, Pastor Jack Morris brings a message about the greatest gift ever given—the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ. As we celebrate this Christmas season, let us keep our hearts centered on its true meaning, which brings joy and peace beyond measure. Reflect on the words of Isaiah 9:6: “For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” May this truth fill your Christmas with hope and gratitude.

Today on The Healing Word, Pastor Jack Morris will guide us through a study of Jesus—from His miraculous birth in Bethlehem to His ascension into Heaven, where He is preparing a place for us. As we reflect on this incredible journey, let us remember the significance of today expressed in John 1:14, "The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth." May this message bless your heart and lead you to praise Him during this special Christmas season.

In the book of Luke Chapter one we find a wonderful account of Mary, the mother of Jesus, praising God for the miraculous wonder that was taking place inside of her and how humble she was to give birth to Jesus, who would become the Savior of the world. Luke 1:38 “I am the Lord’s servant,” Mary answered. “May your word to me be fulfilled.” Then the angel left her.

As we are just days away from Christmas, Pastor Jack Morris invites us to reflect on the profound truth that Christmas is God’s ultimate call of love. Through the birth of His Son, Jesus, God reached out to a broken world, calling us to Him with a message of salvation and hope. Jesus was born into this world to save us from the power of sin, offering us the gift of eternal life. Matthew 1:21 "She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins.”

Pastor Jack Morris reflects on the richness of God’s love—a love so abundant and unwavering that nothing we do can stop it from reaching and transforming us. This incredible truth assures us of God’s deep commitment to us, regardless of our circumstances or shortcomings. One of the greatest challenges we face is loving others as Christ loves us—a love that is selfless, unconditional, and profound. Yet, when we catch even a glimpse of His love for us, it has the power to transform our hearts and profoundly impact how we feel and respond to those around us. Today, Pastor Jack Morris shares a message about embracing the love of Christ and letting it flow through us to others, creating relationships that reflect His grace and compassion. Join us as we explore how His love can change the way we live and love. 1 John 4:19-21 We love because he first loved us. Whoever claims to love God yet hates a brother or sister is a liar. For whoever does not love their brother and sister, whom they have seen, cannot love God, whom they have not seen. And he has given us this command: Anyone who loves God must also love their brother and sister.

Just as a carefully chosen centerpiece adds meaning and beauty to a special event, Jesus brings purpose, balance, and radiance to our lives when we place Him at the center. In today's message, Pastor Morris explores how making Jesus the focal point of our hearts transforms every aspect of who we are and what we do. Discover how a Christ-centered life reflects His love and grace, bringing true meaning to all we experience. Colossians 3:1-3 Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God.
