It’s hard to explain because it contrasts so much with reality but basically the metaverse is an online world that you enter through virtual reality glasses or headsets and where the experiences are only limited by your imagination.For example, you can customize your own home to have a view of the Pacific Ocean. Or, you choose whatever identity you’d like—male, female, human, animal, space alien. Want to go out to meet with friends in London in real time (without flying on a plane to get there)? You may sit at the table as an avatar (a cartoon-like version of yourself) while your friend is there as a life-like hologram.This may all sound crazy, foolish, and unnecessary, but there’s something far deeper at work here—man’s futile attempt to cast off God and the reality He established and identify as one chooses (rather than how God has designed) and live a virtual world man controls (rather than God).Patrick Miller, podcast host and pastor of digital ministries at The Crossing, a church in Missouri, recently co-authored a column for The Gospel Coalition titled How to Prepare for the Metaverse. He joins us on The Christian Worldview for a look into the not-too-distant future and what Christians need to know about the metaverse.

Morality is the judgment between what is right and what is wrong and economics is how money, goods, and services are used and exchanged.
While morality and economics seem unrelated, they are actually linked. When moral judgments are made about any given issue, economic decisions follow to support those moral judgments.
For example, abortion is viewed by our government as morally good and so therefore economic policy is made to fund the killing of the pre-born and post-born.
It’s no coincidence that as American’s judgment of what is right and wrong has moved away from biblical morality, our economic policies have gone the same direction. Government rather than the individual is now viewed as the best caretaker for the poor, needy, and unemployed. Government is seen as the solution to inequality, education, health care, and the environment.
Socialism—strong governmental ordering of society—is ascending while capitalism—individual liberties applied to markets—is slandered as “selfish”, “greedy”, and “immoral”.
Cal Beisner, author of Biblical Foundations for Economics, joins us on The Christian Worldview to discuss how economic principles and policies need to be based on the Bible to achieve the greatest human flourishing.
We will also hear the remaining portion of the interview with Mike Gendron about why the Pope and President Biden share some a “strong rapport” (hint: that has to do with their economic views as well).

We know the darkness the world celebrates each year on October 31 but it’s disconcerting that the day passes with most Protestant churches, generally, and Evangelical churches, specifically, devoting little or no time commemorating and teaching about something far more momentous which took place on that date in 1517—Martin Luther nailing his “95 Theses” document on the door of All Saints’ Church in Wittenberg, Germany to protest errant doctrines of the Roman Catholic Church.
The document ignited the fire that became the Protestant Reformation, an era lasting more than 100 years and impacting, well, everything—clarifying of biblical doctrines, starting a new branch of Christianity, altering the future of nations, all the way to the formation of America. It would be hard to overstate the importance of the Reformation.
This weekend on The Christian Worldview, we will hear a portion of a message by Dr. Steve Lawson about the Reformation and also speak with Mike Gendron of Proclaiming the Gospel ministry about the current Pope, Francis, and his beliefs.

It would be one thing if the impact of COVID-19 was limited to our personal health and health care.
But dealing with sickness from contracting the virus—as serious as that can be, even death in rare cases—has been overshadowed by the loss of individual liberties that has taken place during this “pandemic”.

Whether in private or public places of work, the military and elsewhere, deadlines are looming (or already passed) mandating that employees get the COVID injection or be terminated.
Yes, America has descended to a new authoritarian low—inject a substance into your body or else lose your ability to support yourself and your family.
With the God-rejecting Left being most coercive for all to get vaccinated, even young children who are in no danger of the virus, one would think someone like pastor and author John Piper wouldn’t be encouraging Christians to be vaccinated but rather leaving it up to each person’s conscience to make that decision.
So goes the pressure to take a newly developed “vaccine” that millions of Americans have taken but millions of Americans don’t want. Pressure, persuasion, and crass incentives have now turned into vaccine mandates by employers—get the vaccine or get fired. How “kind” and “loving your neighbor” to force your neighbor into injecting something into their body they don’t want and could harm them.
The burning question right now for those who don’t want the vaccine is this: How can I apply for and receive an exemption from this unconstitutional (and perhaps fake) mandate?

You’ve noticed it at the gas pump, grocery store, and elsewhere—prices are rising. But of course they are—the supply of dollars can’t be increased through printing more without the value and buying power of an individual dollar decreasing. The Wall Street Journal reported that inflation rose more the last 12 months than it has in 13 years.
More is likely to come, with rampant spending being proposed.
And it’s not just inflation. Have you noticed shortages on shelves…and at the car dealership? The government-ordered lockdowns of the economy over COVID and people not working has led to scarcity of goods and delays in transporting them.
Meanwhile, the Biden Administration and the Left are doing everything they can to pass a $3.5T “Infrastructure Bill”, which has very little to do with roads and bridges and very much to do with expanding the power of government and dependency on it.
It all sounds like a prelude to the inflation and scarcity described in the End Times in Revelation 6, when a global leader and government takes control.
