A Star Is Born

Jill Briscoe

Sometimes God's will isn't what we would have picked out for ourselves. It isn't what we want. And it's difficult to accept.

Esther's life didn't turn out how she wanted it to. She found herself separated from her family and married to the unbelieving King of Persia. Through these trials, God made Esther into a Supernova, shining even more brightly in the hardships. But before she could get there, she had to die to her own dreams and her own plan. Are you willing to do the same?

Jill Briscoe If God called you to a difficult task in a difficult place, would you shine light into that place? Would you, like Esther, be a star for God? Esther is a great example of someone who faced seemingly impossible circumstances. She was forced to marry a very powerful, very worldly man: the King of Persia. While not many of us can relate to such a circumstance as Esther had, we can learn from her faith and obedience. You are right in center stage of where God wants you to be and what God wants you to do in your life. Will you be obedient?

Stuart Briscoe The Book of Esther never mentions God. Some even have questioned whether it should have been included in the Bible. But when you pull back the curtain and view the "coincidences" and reversals of fortune for the beautiful queen Esther and her uncle Mordecai, it becomes evident that God was working to preserve the people through whom He eventually would deliver a Savior. In this message, Stuart Briscoe takes us through the many twists and turns of the Book of Esther. He shows us how our sovereign God quietly works in the background to accomplish what He wants done, and that He makes good on His promises even when situations seem dire from a human perspective. Above all, the story makes clear that God is committed to redeeming the world He loves.

Stuart Briscoe We live in times of suffering, hardship, and chaos, and it was this same troubled world that Jesus entered into more than 2,000 years ago. In this message, Stuart Briscoe teaches us how these powerful words of Jesus are relevant in today’s world and shares the greatest hope of all for our hurting and broken world.

Jill Briscoe How are you pouring into those younger than yourself?  What kind of legacy are you building to leave for your children?  Jill Briscoe takes us to Proverbs 31:1-9 to ponder the words King Lemuel wrote fondly about his mother and the faith she passed along to him.  Whatever age or stage we’re at, God calls us to be a blessing to the next generation.  The gifts God has given us never age, and they’re supposed to be used.  Jill encourages us to start loving, teaching, and praying for the younger ones coming along.  The impact will be not only on the next generation, but for eternity!

Stuart Briscoe Daniel's great vision ended with him learning many astonishing things. He did not understand everything because the information concerned the near and distant future, but he was greatly encouraged. We, too, do not understand it all, but we can be encouraged.

Stuart Briscoe Daniel's final visionary experience revealed to him something of the intensity of the spiritual conflict behind world events. But it also reminded him of the awesome power of the heavenly forces and the certainty of God's ultimate triumph. He wins "the great war."
