Meet Him at the Manger

December 21, 2021

"That though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, so that you through his poverty might become rich." (2 Corinthians 8:9)

There are over 350 prophesies in the Old Testament that describe the Messiah. Jesus, born with no fanfare or even a crib, fulfilled every single one! The mathematical odds of that are virtually impossible.

And yet, even with that knowledge, the question about Jesus is ultimately a personal one you have to decide on your own. Who do you think the baby Jesus was?

In this message from Jill, she asks you this very question. If you believe the baby Jesus is God, you will live your life with a different perspective and purpose.

"I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full." (John 10:10) Jesus did not say, "Come to me and I'll fill your life full of stuff." He said, "I'll fill it full of Me. I'll fill it full of God, and then you will have life to the full." And that's what Christmas is all about. We often forget that as we get busy shopping, baking, decorating, wrapping, and attending parties. In this message, Jill challenges us to keep the focus on Christ and the significance of His birth this Christmas.

How can we get ready for Christ to come this Christmas and not allow Christmas to come without Christ? It's not easy to keep Christ in the spotlight when we are so busy preparing for the happenings of the season. But we can, and must, focus on what He did for us as we celebrate His birth this Christmas.

Who was Jesus? Jesus was no ordinary child. The book of Hebrews says He was Divinity. He was God Himself, Immanuel—God with us. In this Christmas message, Jill Briscoe discusses the miraculous birth of Jesus, who Jesus was, and what that means for us.

The storms of life can sweep you away unless your foundation is built on something immovable and unchanging—a relationship with Jesus Christ. Jill explores the Beatitudes and gives practical guidelines about the outward actions and inward attitudes of believers.

You can't be a peacemaker if you don’t have peace with Jesus, the Prince of Peace. We've all heard this before, but do we really understand what that means and how to practice it in our lives?  In this message, Jill Briscoe talks about the path to finding our peace with Jesus and making peace with others. It's an important topic—because we can't mend our marriages, settle family conflicts, or resolve issues with others if we don't truly understand what having peace means.

Jill's series teaches about women in the Bible who spent time with Jesus. But if you go deeper, you'll discover its real lesson—no matter what your story is or where you've come from, no matter if you've lived a good life or made mistakes, every woman (every human for that matter!) has the same thing in common. We all need a Savior. Single? Suffering? Sorrowful? Sinful? Then listen closely and hear how much you are valued and loved by God's son.
