It’s here in Matthew chapter 21 that the Chief Priests and Elders call into question the authority of Jesus. And Jesus masterfully responds with a question of His own that would leave them flustered.

In Matthew chapter 21 Jesus curses a fig tree. He tells the tree it will never bear fruit again, and it immediately withered! Today on Sound Doctrine we’ll draw practical application from this, and learn that each of us are like fig trees. God is looking for fruit in our lives that pleases Him. We learned last time that the religious leaders were ripping people off from their life savings, blocking access to God, in the Temple. Jesus was very upset about it.
