What the world doesn’t understand what God is doing, many times is met with ignorance, avoidance, or resistance. And though there are many who don’t always inquire as to what God is doing, God has sent the believers into the world to reveal the glorious Gospel of His Son, Jesus Christ. As Pastor Jeff takes us through the Day of Pentecost in Acts 2, he shows how the Lord used the crowd’s fascination to share the Gospel through the apostle Peter. kWhen God poured out His power on the church, the city was full of people. Lives were being transformed while the Lord was working through the first believers in Jerusalem, but that applied only to those who were actually in the upper room. Pastor Jeff Johnson goes on to show how the same is true in our lives today. When the Lord wants to pour out His Spirit on us, lives are transformed as we make ourselves available. He also wants to use anyone today who is willing to take a step of obedience and allow their lives to be used for His glory. Many times Christians say to God, “Show me and then I’ll believe.” God says in response to the Christian, “Believe, and then you’ll see.” When the Holy Spirit came upon the early church, His sound was heard first and then He was seen and experienced. When it comes to the activities of our lives and how we are led out, we discover that we are either led out by the Lord, or we are led by ourselves apart from the Lord. Mankind has yet to see the limitation of problems man can create with a partial understanding of God’s Word, and a un unlimited desire to take matters into his own hands. It’s been said that Man plans but God laughs. When the early church was formed, they were told to simply wait for the promise of God’s Spirit.
