It’s been said that Man plans but God laughs. When the early church was formed, they were told to simply wait for the promise of God’s Spirit. When it comes to last impressions, important words are chosen carefully. As we look at the last words Jesus shared with His disciples, He instructs His people to make sure they wait for the power that God wanted them to have. And just as the disciples were fully equipped by the baptism of the Holy Spirit so that they lacked nothing, Pastor Jeff reminds us that the exact same power is available through the Person of the Holy Spirit.

Witnessing versus being a witness. While it may sound like a minimal distinction between the two at best. Jesus said that those who receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon them will be witness to Him.
