Prophecy Update Part 2b

One thing that separates the Bible from any other book in history is the amazing accuracy and detail of its prophecies. Second Peter 1:19 says, “And so we have the prophetic word confirmed, which you do well to heed as a light that shines in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts...” It’s with that in mind that we take you to Daniel here on Sound Doctrine. We’re looking at chapter seven with pastor Jeff Johnson.

For quite a few weeks now we’ve been studying the early chapters of Genesis. In chapter eight, we get a glimpse at life after the flood. Noah, his family and the animals are about to step onto dry land after being in the Ark for just about a year. Pastor Jeff Johnson will offer some helpful observations in part three of his message, “Time to Go!”

Hope is low for many in our world. Some wonder how they can make it another day! But today on Sound Doctrine we’ll see where hope is found in a world like ours. Noah and the flood is a good example to us on where to find rest for our souls and hope for tomorrow. Pastor Jeff Johnson will be covering Genesis chapter eight, and at this point in time the great flood is over and it’s about time for Noah, his family and the animals to step out onto dry land.

Pastor Jeff Johnson will be in Genesis chapter eight. If you’ll recall a worldwide flood has just occurred, and Noah, his family and the animals have been couped up in the Ark for about a year. Now, the waters are receding, and it’s time for them to step out of the Ark onto dry land. Pastor Jeff says there’s wonderful hope to be found in all of this.

We’ll be in Genesis chapter seven, and pastor Jeff Johnson will be sharing the details about the worldwide flood and the place of refuge in the Ark. He’ll also compare this to another worldwide judgement that’s coming, spoken about in Revelation chapters 6-19. Just like in Noah’s day there is a way out, a place of refuge.

Glad you could join us, as we return to our study of Daniel. We left off in chapter seven at verse nine. In the passage before us we’re talking about things that haven’t happened yet, but could very soon! Pastor Jeff will draw attention to the Revived Roman Empire spoken of by Daniel, as well as the final antichrist who will come onto the scene in the last days.

Today pastor Jeff Johnson begins Genesis chapter seven. God is about to judge the world by flood, but before He does, He tells Noah and his family to board the Ark. Pastor Jeff will compare this to another judgement that’s coming, and stress how important it is that we board the Ark so to speak. We do that through faith in Jesus.

Today we aim to complete Genesis chapter six with pastor Jeff Johnson. We’ll be comparing Noah’s Ark to what we have in Jesus! As you’ll hear momentarily the Ark is a beautiful picture of Christ. For example, just like the ark, Jesus is the only way to escape the judgement that’s coming.

What do you do when you see disaster looming? Hopefully you are prepared for when it comes. But do you also try to help bring others into safety? Today on Sound Doctrine, pastor Jeff Johnson is continuing the story of Noah and the Great Flood. Despite the wickedness of the world and the coming disaster, Noah preached to those around him. We know there is a time coming when God will judge the earth, not by flood but by fire. Are we doing everything we can to guide people into the safety of salvation?
