Today we begin our final message in Acts eleven as we go verse by verse through the fifth book in the New Testament. This book is referred to as the “Acts of the Apostles”, but as pastor Jeff has reminded us several times in this series, it would be more accurately titled “The Acts of the Holy Spirit, through the Apostles”. We’ll be in Acts eleven, verses nineteen through thirty today, and a message titled, “Not By Might or Power, But By My Spirit”.

Many biblical scholars refer to Acts as the “fifth gospel”, and we con certainly see why. The four gospels describe the mighty and powerful grace of God in display in the life of Jesus Christ, and here in Acts, we see the third person of the trinity at work - the Holy Spirit.
