Open that Bible of yours to Romans chapter twelve.  We’re in a very practical portion of the epistle!  Verses 9-13 beautifully describes how we’re to live and love in these last days.  Even a casual observer can see love is absent in all too many lives.  But the Christians should be known for their love.  See what that should look like, as you join us today for Sound Doctrine.

Whether it’s at a birthday, Christmas or graduation we’re accustomed to giving and receiving gifts.  Sadly many of which are never used or put away in storage somewhere.  Now God gives each of His children spiritual gifts… but sadly many Christians never put them to use.  Imagine how that makes the Lord feel? Pastor Jeff Johnson returns to his study of Romans here on Sound Doctrine and we’ll be focusing on chapter twelve... one of a few spots in Scripture that list the spiritual gifts.

Whether we’re helping someone get their groceries every now and then, caring for babies in the nursery, or helping teach a Sunday School class, God can use us in powerful ways.  Question is are you putting the gifts He’s given you to use?  God wants to use us and our gifts!  It’s not only a high privilege but very fulfilling.

God often shows up in our lives, in ways we might not expect, but at just the right time!  Today on Sound Doctrine we’ll see an example of that as the Lord reveals Himself suddenly, breaking up a party, all to convey an important message.  We dig into Daniel chapter five and examine the handwriting on the wall… a message written by God that has great application to us today.
