We’ll join pastor Jeff Johnson in Genesis chapter seventeen today. In Old Testament times God instructed all Jewish males to be circumcised. This would serve as a powerful reminder of what Jesus would later do with those that trust in Him. He would perform a circumcision of the heart.

Today we turn to the story of Abraham and Sarah waiting for their promised son to arrive. After waiting for quite some time they decide to take matters into their own hands! Big mistake.

We know he’s special because the Bible mentions him again both in the Old and New Testaments. God uses Melchizedek to teach us something about Christ and his role as high priest and king.
