God Rules Part 1a

We begin a new chapter in our study of Daniel today, and that’s chapter four. I’m sure you’ve heard some amazing testimonies over the years, but this one takes the cake. King Nebuchadnezzar would no doubt fall into the category of least likely to become a Christian. But God got ahold of his life. He’s still performing saving miracles like this today.

There is so much that we don’t know… our knowledge is very much limited. But God on the otherhand knows everything. He sees the big picture in your life, and is working out a wonderful plan. It makes it clear that believers are in the hands of God, who in His remarkable providence works all things together for good. We’ll learn today that a proper understanding of the truth contained in this verse will help us avoid bitterness and anger, even when the doctor says you have an incurable disease, or you have a flat tire on the side of the road.

The implications while at first may sound frightening – are very reassuring. As believers we are in the hands of God – who in His providence works all things together for good. We live in a world full of bad news, and we’re reminded of that every time we turn on the news. From mass shootings, to inflation that’s out of control, or people dying unexpectedly!
