Of all the occurrences in the book of Acts, what happens in chapter ten is among the most significant. The Gentiles are hearing the gospel message for the first time. Now, as you might imagine, some of the Jews were not happy about this. They thought the gospel was for them only.

Today we are going to bring you pastor Jeff’s last study in Acts chapter nine, as we continue our verse by verse journey through the fifth book of the New Testament. Many biblical scholars refer to Acts as the “fifth gospel”, and we con certainly see why. The four gospels describe the mighty and powerful grace of God in display in the life of Jesus Christ, and here in Acts, we see the third person of the trinity at work - the Holy Spirit.

He is now doing and saying something completely different than what he has in the past and people are skeptical of his new found faith. But we will see he has changed his direction because he’s met the true and living God.

Today, in Acts chapter nine, the Lord has appeared to Saul. In an abrupt change of events Saul is no longer the persecutor of Christians but now proclaiming that Jesus is the Son of God. It is a huge change of direction for Saul’s life. The change was dramatic. And as Saul continued to grow in the Lord, his preaching became more powerful.
