Believers running the race of life need a sharp focus on that race. Having that focus clears out a lot of life’s cobwebs. If our objective is the glory of God, our daily decisions get easier, our time is better used, and our joy is greatly increased.

God’s glory is easy to lose sight of. All it takes is one small sin. In Moses’ day, the glory of God would come and go. In the end, it departed, as the sins of Israel caused God to draw back His favor. Could this be true even today?

One day, believers will walk the streets of the New Jerusalem. Our sole focus will be the praise and worship of Almighty God. If this is true, why is God’s glory not our focus now?

As we mature in the faith, we come to realize more and more that it is not about us. It is about God, whose glory fills the heavens. When we see our lives as part of a much larger plan, we understand that enhancing God’s glory is the bottom line.
