You Better Watch Out

When we use prayer as a means of protecting ourselves and others from attacks of the enemy, we are watching out for and safeguarding against attempts at destroying God’s work. God has given us truth in Scripture as a weapon to use against the lies that the enemy uses to distract us and so we must fight back, all the while praying for protection.

Just as we grow and mature in our physical life, we are supposed to be growing and maturing in our spiritual life. The things that we’re learning need to be applied to our lives so that we can then teach others and help them grow in relationship with God.

Jesus said that He is preparing a place for us in Heaven and we will either join Him when our body dies here on earth or when He comes to get us. For believers, Heaven is our true home, but those who do not believe will not enter. Instead of wasting time on earth, we must believe and do the work God has for us to do while we still can.

When our hearts are repentant and yielded to God, He can change even the most mean person into someone who is kind and He gets all the glory. We must walk with the Spirit regularly so that our lives yield all of His fruit and people see that in us and are drawn to Him.

God chose the Jews out of His love for them, protecting them from the multiple attempts of annihilation from other countries for thousands of years. When Jesus, a Jew, died on the cross, God also raised Him from the dead to make salvation possible to all Jews and Gentiles. The only way into God’s family is through His Son, Jesus Christ.

Jesus said that He came so that we may live life to the fullest. God has a plan for each one of us but it is only when we get up and move, accepting His plan and live for Him that we actually experience this full life that He promised.

Tragedy happens in this world and the reason why boils down to the sin issue in humanity. Jesus took on all sin when He died, allowing for everyone to be saved.

The Bible is very clear on the reality of this world coming to a burning end, and the only way we can be saved from burning in hell forever is by accepting salvation through Jesus Christ. When His blood covers our sins and makes us clean, our name is added to the Book of Life and we get to spend eternity in Heaven.

People learn best when they can see and hear someone else, then do the same things themselves. Jesus tells us that we need to make disciples and so as we do that, we must teach them to do the same thing.

Jesus was put up on a cross so that all who look to Him and believe may be saved. As followers of Christ we are also fishers of men and therefore must tell others who have been inflicted with the deadly wound of sin nature to look to Christ, find life and be saved.
