A New You in a New Year
New years are great. They’re an opportunity to start fresh. They’re moments in time when you get to say good-bye to the old and hello to the new. They’re the potential beginning of a whole new future, if you respond the right way to them.
To experience the best of the new possibilities and potential in this new year, there are a few things you need to remember. The changing of a calendar date doesn’t magically change your life. If you don’t become something new in your mind and heart this year, you’re likely to repeat the mistakes of past years. The key to avoiding repeated problems and pain is to become a new you this new year.
To be a new you, you have to think differently than you’ve thought in the past. Your thinking is a key part of your life. You’ll never change your life until you change the way you think.
“Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.” — Romans 12:2 (NLT)
Make an investment in your mind this year. Let God teach you how to think in new ways. It will lead you to a wonderful new life!
