A few years ago, I read about a woman, in Atlanta, Georgia, who washed clothes for a living. She would take some of her money and save it. She did this for a number of years. Over a long period of time, she accumulated a large sum of money. It seemed that the natural thing, in her senior years, would be to retire and use the money to have a fun retirement, not so.
This lady took all her savings and gave it to a school in Atlanta. She wanted to help young people who did not have the financial resources to attend college. She made a huge sacrifice after years of doing a backbreaking job. She did not wash clothes in a modern fashion, but rather she did it the old fashion way. She worked long hours and was careful to do a very good job, which provided her a steady stream of customers. Her hard work provided someone an opportunity to become educated. This educated individual could then find a good paying job. Her sacrifice became a platform for someone else’s success.
Giving to the ministry is a partnership. It allows the ministry to develop resources that has been used to help develop church ministries around the country and the world.
