Our biblical heroes were not superhuman, they overcame and grew due to their reliance on God’s continual presence and His powerful healing in the midst of their circumstances. God’s presence is a necessary reminder of who heals us as we encounter church hurt, divorce, past negative experiences, feeling alone, marital issues, past abuse, cancer survivors, grief, etc. The heroes of the Old Testament remind us that they were not superhuman in their experiences of death, drought, vicious enemies, fear, isolating, depression, spousal abuse, anger issues, workplace abuse, forgiveness and they grew in faith when all the odds were against them. However, they learned how to walk with God each day so that ‘He who began a good work, finished it’ (Philippians 1:6; 2 Timothy 4:6-8). Despite whatever circumstances, and if the issues around us do not change, we still learn how-to live-in peace and joy, as we grow in our trust of, ‘He who is greater within us’ (1 John 4:4). WE CAN, because the Lord is committed to fight for us (Romans 8:21-36) and to pray for us even when we do not know how to pray (Romans 8:26-27). This way we are blessed on earth (Psalm 112:1-3) and in heaven (James 1:12; Revelation 3:21).

Always remember, GOD IS AT WORK!
