“…avoiding profane and vain babblings, and oppositions of science, falsely so-called, which some professing have erred concerning the faith.” 1 Timothy 6:20-21
If you reduced all the questions in the world down to one, it would be: “Did God make man, or did man make God?” Did man evolve, or is he God’s special creation? What’s fact? What’s fiction? Creationism or Darwin’s theory of evolution?
Evolutionists ask us to believe that all life started accidentally, billions of years ago, from a speck of protoplasm, evolving over eons of time through mutation (adapting to its changing environment) and natural selection (survival of the fittest). We’re not made in God’s image. Life has no intrinsic meaning. Man is no higher than a cat, dog, or flea.
Children are taught that nothing plus time plus chance are all it took to turn amoebas into astronauts and monkeys into men. Stories about frogs turning into princes are called fairy tales, not science.
There are four major bridges no evolutionist can cross:
Bridge 1—The origin of life.
Evolution is a philosophy expressing a bias, the next best guess of the mind that refuses to accept God. Evolutionists cannot explain how life began, so they claim it occurred through “spontaneous generation”—non-living matter magically sprang to life—because they refuse to believe in intelligent design.
But more than a century ago, scientist Louis Pasteur proved “spontaneous generation” impossible. Life only arises from life.
Bridge 2—Fixed species; no transitional fossil record
God said everything reproduces “after their kind” (Genesis 1:11-12). You can’t turn a cantaloupe into a kitten. But for evolution to be fact, life forms must evolve from one species to another. We know from science that species don’t evolve into different species. Moreover, if they did, there would be fossils of these transitional forms, but not one has ever been found.
Bridge 3—The Second Law of Thermodynamics
Evolutionists claim things evolve upward, becoming more complex. Given enough time, disorganized things will become organized.
The immutable Second Law of Thermodynamics proves the opposite. Left alone, things wind down and eventually disintegrate, disorganize, collapse, and deteriorate.
Bridge 4—Evolution can’t produce these:
Love, honor, dignity—where do these intangibles come from? Where does music come from? Where did we get the concept of Almighty God?
Three Reasons I Believe Evolution Is Fiction, Not Fact
1. Logic
Many noted scientists have rejected the theory on purely scientific grounds, including but not limited to Michael Faraday, Lord Kelvin, Joseph Lister, Louis Pasteur, Johann Kepler, Sir William Ramsey and Sir Isaac Newton. Logic convinced them of divine creation.
2. Morality
Darwin believed there were superior races of people. Inferior races could be exterminated. Under his influence, Hitler and Stalin annihilated 57 million people between them, since man is nothing more than an animal.
If there’s no God, there’s no right or wrong. Euthanasia is acceptable. Abortion is celebrated. Sexual perversion becomes a valid “alternate lifestyle.”
When you tell people they’re an accident, it robs them of dignity and purpose.
We’ve taught our children they’re just another species of animal, and now they’re behaving like animals.
3. Theology
Evolution is diametrically opposed to the idea that man is God’s special creation. If man evolved, Christianity collapses like a house of cards. There’s no Garden of Eden, original sin or depravity, and nobody needs to be born again. Man’s fall in Genesis chapter 3 is a myth, and the promise of redemption in John chapter 3 is a farce.
What’s Behind Evolution?
Evolution may look and talk like science, but it’s a philosophy, a way of hiding from God. If there’s no Creator, they’re not accountable to Him. There’s no fear of judgment. A system of morality interferes with their sexual freedom. So in one stroke they confused Christians and justified their sin by denying the world has meaning. Evolution was their tool to shut creationists’ mouths.
But the God of creation declares we’re made in His image. He sent His Son to die for us. We have divine purpose, and through Christ, eternal life.
You have a Heavenly Father who loves and cares for you. If you don’t know Jesus, the wisest, best thing you could do would be to investigate not the origin, but the destiny of the species, and primarily your own personal destiny.
