Our God is faithful that we would receive His promises. And a great example of that is the children of Israel, receiving the allotment of land, the land of Kanade that promised land. Now we saw last week that based upon the request of the people, and also a foresight of what was going to be taking place in the future, that there would be some of the children of Israel, that would be on the east side of the Jordan River.

If you are going to be effective in serving God, you must love the people that you're called to minister to. And we see that very clearly in the life of the apostle Paul. Paul was concerned deeply for those that he was sent to, to get your Bible and look with me to the book of Romans and chapter 15. Now again, we're going to see that the apostle Paul, he had a great concern, and a great love for those in Rome, that congregation there of believers that consisted of both Jews and Gentiles.

No one likes to experience God's punishment, his judgment, his discipline. But if we are living disobedience idly, that is exactly what we ought to expect. And God's discipline of his people, is not to ultimately destroy us, but to turn us away from those things that have tempted us. Those things that have seduced us, those things that have caused us to think against the truth of God.

Do you have reverence and respect for God? In other words, do you fear Him as God demands that his people fear him? One of the greatest problems today among believers is that we do not have the reverence and the respect and the fear of the Lord that we ought to have. In other words, we are too casual in regard to our relationship with God. And one of the reasons for this is this, we do not rightly understand God's grace. There is an inherent relationship between the grace of God being extended, and the cross, I think we would all agree that you show up being crucified and dying upon that cross through crucifixion, he died a horrendous, a torturous death, and what was the purpose of the death. So the grace of God could be offered to us.

You should love victory. And victory is an outcome of obeying the Word of God, taking seriously his revelation, and not just believing it. But to experience that victory. We need to apply that truth to our life, walk into revelation of God. For there we find God's Will we find his provision, we find everything that we need in order to serve Him. Well, the Day of Atonement is indeed one of the Lord's appointed days. Now, in Hebrew, that term appointed is the word Mo, Ed. And that word speaks about something that God has designated something that he has set aside with significance with a purpose. And therefore these festivals, as they're oftentimes referred to, they are designated for a purpose, a significant purpose.
