When you serve God, you may be persecuted. When you are faithful to Him committed to his purposes, it doesn't mean that everything's going to go well in your life. In fact, as we move closer to the end times, and we are, the more faithful, the more righteous, the more humble. And the more you are committed to the will of God, you will be persecuted, you will suffer more, we are going to be entering into a time where faithfulness is going to be punished by this world.

We are called indeed to be servants. And to serve God, we need wisdom. We need knowledge, not the knowledge of the world, but the knowledge of the Word of God. When we understand scriptural truth, it changes us. It gives us God's perspective. It understands us, it helps us to understand his purposes, so that we can participate in the things of God. And that's where we find joy. That's where we find contentment. That's when we find power.

Recently I was asked, What should I be praying for. And the way I responded to this in the visual was as follows. Pray that the Lord might teach you how to demonstrate the fear of the Lord. Now I've shared with you many times, the fear of the Lord relates to taking the priorities of God, and making them sincerely the priorities of your life. When you are committed to his priorities, you are indeed, living and demonstrating the fear of the Lord.

We are always confronted with choice. And that choice can oftentimes bring about temptation in our life, that the enemy can lead us into doing that which is not God's plan, not according to God's will. And therefore we need to be individuals that claim to the Lord's testimony, His Word, His scripture, that we would implant that within our inner being in our hearts, that we would think according to His truth, and that we would demonstrate truth in our life.

God willing, today we will complete our study of the parable of the prodigal son. And we have learned from that younger son's example of what it means to repent, what it means to be restored by the Father. And even though this is a parable that speaks about a family, we need to understand that this father, he gives us a good glimpse of our heavenly Father, one who is willing to receive sinners who truly repent.

One of the questions that we should ask herself when making a decision, or getting ready to embark on some action, some behavior, if God is in it, if God's not part of it, then we shouldn't be part of it. And we should ask ourselves, How is God going to be glorified by this decision, this action? And furthermore, we should ask, is there a clear scripture that confirms to me that this is God's will for my life, that he is part of it that he wants me to engage in this behavior or make such a decision?

I am so grateful to God, that He is merciful and forgiving. And more than that, our God allows new beginnings. And if we're wise, we are going to take advantage of God's grace, mercy and forgiveness and begin anew. And in actuality, that has a lot to do with repentance. And we have seen in the Scripture, that heaven rejoices over one who repents, and repent sincerely. And we are in the midst of our study from the book of Luke, we are in chapter 15.

God is faithful to Israel, and he is going to keep covenant with Israel. And that is going to bring about great joy.
