How should we pray? Well, first of all, we should approach God in great humility. And we should ask God, to do whatever it takes, so that our lives would reflect the fact that he is sovereign meaning this, that every decision we make, every action we take, every word that we speak, everything would demonstrate that we believe that God is sovereign, that he is the Lord of our life, and that we are desperately in need of Him, to lead us, guide us provide for us.

I am sure that you accept your shore as Savior, every believer, everyone who has a hope of being in the kingdom of heaven, acknowledges that he is the savior. We believe that he is the Messiah, the anointed one sent by God in order to redeem humanity. And he did so upon the cross. But you must also believe that he is not just a savior and Messiah, but that He is the Lord.

No matter who you are, there are going to be times when you find yourself in trouble. And the question that I want to ask you at this time is this. Do you have a helper because if you had been redeemed by God's grace, experienced that eternal redemption through the blood of the Son of God, then God has entered into a covenant with you and you with him.

Last week, we began a study of a specific disease. And that disease is known in the scriptures as our art, which is leprosy. And one of the things that we learned last week is that leprosy is a unique disease. I think it's highly significant, that in this book of Leviticus, that we find two chapters dedicated to it, and several other places in the Scripture, where we deal with this disease known as leprosy, and how God and only God is able to heal it.

Our God is a healing God, he still does miracles, He still brings about restoration. But we need to be careful. Because how sometimes we think restoration looks, God sees it differently. Sometimes his power is not given for a healing in the common sense of what healing is.

One of the things that you and I should be praying is that God prepares our mind in order to understand His revelation. And that's simply doing this before picking up God's word. Ask God, to prepare yourself in order to receive His truth. And one of the things that will assist you in being prepared is a desire, a sincere desire to put into action, what God teaches you, meaning that you will approach the Word of God submissively, you will approach the Word of God expecting that there will be something there that you need to hear and implement into your life.

God is a God of miracles. Our God does wonders in science, our God moves among us in order to bring things into his will to bring things according to His plan and purposes. The question is, are we listening? And are we submissive to His plan? Regardless of how it affects us? Can we live with a kingdom mindset and not having to have what we want in this world?

About Dr. Baruch Korman
R. Baruch is the senior lecturer at the Zera Avraham Institute based in Israel. He also appears on the Israeli Television program Pdut L'amo where he teaches each week from the Bible (This program is in Hebrew).
A similar Bible Study program in English is broadcast on numerous television networks across the United States, Europe, and Africa. Many of his lectures are available in the forms of video, audio and written on Pdut.org (Hebrew) and LoveIsrael.org (English).
Baruch holds a PhD in Jewish Studies. His dissertation was in the translation techniques of the Septuagint. Baruch has been married for 30 years to his wife, Rivka, and they have three adult children. The Kormans live in Israel.
