We have seen that God has a plan. Now we are all called to a certain degree to serve the Lord, but there is that special expectation upon the first born. And I made mention last week that that concept of firstborn relates to a priority, and we need to be people that demonstrate that God is the priority of our life, that we put Him first, and everything else in our life is subjected to him.

The most important event in all of human history is the resurrection of our Lord and Savior, Messiah, Yeshua, Jesus, Christ. And unfortunately, there is much confusion about that event. For example, on what day did it occur if you know your Bible, the answer is very clear. It's not debatable if we use all of Scripture to help us arrive at the proper answer. Now many people are confused, because this year, for example, we find that there are many days between when he was crucified on Passover and when the resurrection occurs.

Shalom and welcome to our new series entitled End Times truth. And there's going to be many installments in this series, I would encourage you to share them with other people, because there's much confusion about the end times. Let's get started. In this first installment, we're going to deal with a phrase that we find in the Bible, and that phrase is the days of Noah. What does that mean? When? When Yeshua used that expression, what was he teaching? It comes to us within a very specific context, and that is the coming of the Son of Man. And when we talk about the coming of the Son of Man, there are two possibilities.

We have seen throughout the book of Amos that God is not pleased with the world, and the primary reason for this is that Israel is not doing what God has called Israel to do. We all know that familiar verse to be a light unto the nations. In other words, God expects Israel to influence the world in regard to his purposes, his plan, his will, and Israel isn't committed to this. Why?

Not only did God the Father raise his only begotten Son, Messiah, Yeshua, from the dead, but we see that Messiah after he had been risen, we find that he appeared to many individuals, and we're going to focus in on one such appearance in this study. So with that said, take out your Bible and look with me again to the book of Luke and chapter 24 and we're going to begin in verse 13.

In the passage that we're going to study in this session, there are clear signs of idolatry among the children of Israel. And the first thing we're going to learn is this, nothing good comes from idolatry. Now we can understand it differently. We have made mention that idolatry is rooted in the will of man, and it is opposed to the will of God.

In the passage of scripture that we're going to be looking at in this time of study, there's an emphasis on the Levites. Now the Levites took a unique position. We know that there is a concept of the firstborn, and we learn in the scripture that God has called the Levites, this tribe, in order that they would replace the other first born from all the tribes, that they would serve as the firstborn.

It is quite clear that the most important event that ever took place in human history is the resurrection of Messiah, Yeshua, that is Jesus, Christ. It has the greatest significance of anything, and it is tragic that many believers who know and believe that He rose from the dead do not understand what day He rose from the dead upon.

It is of the utmost importance that when we come across a prophecy that we rightly understand to whom that prophecy is addressed, and when we arrive at the book of Amos in chapter five, we see something that at first seems very confusing, because we're going to be speaking about Israel, and when we speak about Israel, there's a few different ways to understand that term from an Old Covenant perspective.

Baruch holds a PhD in Jewish Studies. His dissertation was in the translation techniques of the Septuagint. Baruch has been married for 30 years to his wife, Rivka, and they have three adult children. The Kormans live in Israel.
