We have reached the 30th chapter of the Book of Proverbs, and we see a unique group of Proverbs. In this 30th chapter, we see that there is a change. Now, when we began our study of the book of Proverbs, we learned that these proverbs were from Shlomo or King Solomon.

I'd like to begin, like I did last week, by reminding us that everything that happens in the Scripture happens for a reason. Nothing is by chance. Everything is by the providence of God. Now Messiah told His disciples Watch and pray that you do not fall into temptation, meaning that you do not let the opposition of the world change you into doing that which is against the plans and the purposes of God. Now in another gospel. What did Peter say?

In the scriptures, we find a very important question. And the question is, Is God the one true God? Is the only god of the Jewish people? And the answer is, No, he is not. He is a God for humanity, and God has a plan of salvation, not just for Israel, but for all of humanity. He created all of humanity. Therefore He is the Lord, the master, over all human beings. It's very important that we see this, because it's very common, especially within Christianity and within Judaism, to make an incorrect statement. And what is that statement?

We are people who are called to have a testimony. People should see us and how we live and how we speak should have a godly influence on others life. That is why we are here, and when we do that, we will indeed have a life that has significance, a life that has eternal implications to it, that we are going to be people that bring about an eternal change in the life of others, that we will influence them To walk in truth that they would be committed to the God of Israel, that they will receive the savior of Israel, or Messiah, Yeshua, so that they too have that kingdom hope.

When a person studies scripture, one needs to realize that everything that is written in the Word of God has been perfectly inspired by the Holy Spirit. What are some of the implications to that the word of God has no heirs whatsoever, and therefore we need to deal with all the texts so that we understand what is God conveying through revelation to his people, that we rightly understand the text, so that we can apply it to our life, so that We can walk in obedience to the instructions of God, and that is the desire of every true believer.

He was a prophet of the Lord that prophesied both regarding the southern kingdom Judah and also the northern kingdom called Israel. And he wanted to bring about a change in the kingdom of God.

About Dr. Baruch Korman
R. Baruch is the senior lecturer at the Zera Avraham Institute based in Israel. He also appears on the Israeli Television program Pdut L'amo where he teaches each week from the Bible (This program is in Hebrew).
A similar Bible Study program in English is broadcast on numerous television networks across the United States, Europe, and Africa. Many of his lectures are available in the forms of video, audio and written on Pdut.org (Hebrew) and LoveIsrael.org (English).
Baruch holds a PhD in Jewish Studies. His dissertation was in the translation techniques of the Septuagint. Baruch has been married for 30 years to his wife, Rivka, and they have three adult children. The Kormans live in Israel.
