Shalom and welcome to our study. In this section, we're going to study the last few verses of Luke's Gospel chapter 13. And we should expect something Messiah understood that in the last days, there would be that remnant of Israel that came to faith. In fact, the apostle Paul, in Romans chapter 11, he also anticipated a time when Jewish people would indeed except Messiah. And in fact, we know what is going to bring about that wonderful change.

We need to see that faith in God is practical meaning this when we apply biblical truth to our life, it is going to have real and measurable outcome and outcome a result that is good, as I said at our prayer, an outcome that blesses us. This is God's nature. God loves to bless. But those blessings are conditional. They are conditionally upon us, embracing God through faith, through that gospel message.

So as we concluded our last session, that no one will be able to enter into the kingdom of God through their own strength. In order to enter into God's kingdom. We need supernatural strength, we need a heavenly connection. And as we discuss, that only comes to a person through faith. And that gospel message, believing with a full faith in the fact that Messiah, He poured out His blood in order that we could be eternally redeemed, and that we could experience everlasting victory.

Being persecuted for once faith is not new. We see it in regard to the nation of Israel, for doing the will of God, being used by the Lord for His purposes, Israel suffered. And we also see through the faith in Messiah Yeshua, that early believers, many were put to death. They too were persecuted and many scattered, because of the intensity of the persecution.

God expects us to live in a way that demonstrates his lordship over us. Now our salvation is not based upon performance, our salvation is based upon us responding to that perfect invitation, that gracious offering, that all who confess that they are sinful, and turn to the Lord, you show up in faith, believing that He died for one sins, and that God raised Him from the dead.

A mainstay in both the teaching and the work of Messiah was the kingdom of heaven. In fact, we are studying from Luke's Gospel. And we know that the vast majority of the parables that Messiah taught had to do with the kingdom of God. And when we look at his ministry, the first message that Messiah gave was this, Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.

Do you want God to be actively involved in your life? We need to understand that that just doesn't happen naturally. It happens supernaturally. And what do I mean by that? We have to take hold of biblical principles and demonstrate them and do so for the right reasons. And that will serve as an invitation to God to come and act mightily in the circumstances of our life.

Again, we are going to see that wisdom is foundational in this book of Proverbs, God is working to teach us things in order that we would have a lifestyle that we would behave in light of His Word, His truth, that that word and truth of his would make us wise and successful in accomplishing His purposes. So let's begin in the right place. We need to ask ourselves, Is this our desire? Do we want to be obedient to Him?

We don't want to miss anything from God's Word. And that requires a thorough study of the Scripture. The Word of God is God's revelation to us. Now we can say that differently. Scripture is God's communication to humanity. And we want to hear everything that God is saying. Now, we're going to be dealing with a passage of scripture that has to do with the Sabbath day what's called in Hebrew, the Shabbat and Shabbat is not about worship. biblically speaking, we worship every day of the week.
