We’re receiving a biblical perspective on Spiritual Warfare. And as we’ll learn today, this is a fight we can’t possibly win in our own strength. We desperately need the Holy Spirit’s power, guidance and protection. And as you heard a moment ago, humility is necessary too!

Pastor James will explain that a key in fighting this Unseen War is understanding it’s not about flesh and blood, but rather what goes on in the Spirit realm.

Peace and unity-- you may have written a term paper on it or given a speech about it in school, but is it really feasible? As we hear of nations threatening to fire missiles at other nations, and the growing hatred certain groups have in their hearts toward others, it may seem virtually impossible! But, as we’ll learn today God can break down those walls by the blood of His Son, and we can experience a love with each other that resembles Christ’s love for us.

I’m sure you could create quite a list of things you cannot afford. Maybe that dream home at the coast, or a sports car come to mind. When it comes to salvation we need to realize we can’t possibly earn it. And this spiritual war we’re in, we can’t possibly win on our own! But what we can’t do, God does for us. Today pastor James will emphasize how God saves us by grace, and how we’re to allow Him to fight this battle we find ourselves in too.

Today we’ll be in Ephesians chapters one and two. As we’re learning through our present series, we’re in a battle, an unseen war. Pastor James is helping us discover the keys to victory. And as we’ll learn today, a big part of that is relying on the power of God rather than ourselves. That doesn’t always come easy especially when you’re faced with resistance!

Today we open our Bibles to Ephesians chapter one and resume our series, “The Unseen War.” If someone gave you an inheritance, you’d want to know what it is so that you could put it to good use right? Pastor James wants us to recognize our inheritance as believers, and if you do you will be blessed. It’s one of the keys to having victory in the spiritual warfare we fight every day.

About James Kaddis
Pastor James Kaddis is the founding and Senior Pastor of Calvary Chapel Signal Hill in Signal Hill, CA. By the grace of God, Pastor James has been serving in the ministry for over 27 years. Since 1996, he has also served as a police chaplain. Pastor James has a background in the area of theology, network engineering, computer forensics, and law. He previously served as an Assistant Pastor at Calvary Chapel Downey and the Dean of the Calvary Chapel Bible College, Downey Extension. He is also considered an expert in the field of Computer Networking and Security, and has extensive experience working in that field with both law enforcement and other types of professional organizations.
Pastor James represents the first generation in his family to be born in the United States to parents that were both born and raised in Egypt, and was raised with Arabic as a second language in his home. This background has been used by the LORD to give James a love for biblical languages. In April of 2016, Pastor James married his beautiful wife Nicole, and is overwhelmed by the privilege to serve the LORD by her side! Pastor James’ teaching ministry spans across the nation through the “Light on the Hill” radio ministry.
