If the Lord were to write a letter to you, what do you suppose He would say? Would He describe your condition in terms of death or life? Would He have good things to say, or not so much? Join us for a study in Revelation three today on Light on the Hill, as pastor James Kaddis has a look at what Jesus has to say to the church in Sardis. There’s no mystery at all about the Lord’s displeasure with the things going on in this church. They were dead! So it will serve us well to pay heed to the Lord’s words as we certainly don’t want this to happen to us.

The great thing about this study is we’re really getting specific instruction on what the Lord likes to see and doesn’t like to see in a local church. Today in His letter to the church at Thyatira Jesus confronts the unbiblical tolerance of false teaching and spiritual adultery.

Noah, his family, and the animals have been cooped up in the ark for just over a year. The rain has stopped, the waters are reseeding, and it’s time to step out on dry land.

Pastor James Kaddis is in a study of Genesis, and we’re in chapter seven today, recalling a time when God judged mankind through a worldwide flood. While some suggest this is a myth, the reality is it actually happened. And there’s evidence to support that claim. But there’s also some practical lessons to be drawn from this story like, God will protect His people, and there’s good reason to trust Him and obey.

About James Kaddis
Pastor James Kaddis is the founding and Senior Pastor of Calvary Chapel Signal Hill in Signal Hill, CA. By the grace of God, Pastor James has been serving in the ministry for over 27 years. Since 1996, he has also served as a police chaplain. Pastor James has a background in the area of theology, network engineering, computer forensics, and law. He previously served as an Assistant Pastor at Calvary Chapel Downey and the Dean of the Calvary Chapel Bible College, Downey Extension. He is also considered an expert in the field of Computer Networking and Security, and has extensive experience working in that field with both law enforcement and other types of professional organizations.
Pastor James represents the first generation in his family to be born in the United States to parents that were both born and raised in Egypt, and was raised with Arabic as a second language in his home. This background has been used by the LORD to give James a love for biblical languages. In April of 2016, Pastor James married his beautiful wife Nicole, and is overwhelmed by the privilege to serve the LORD by her side! Pastor James’ teaching ministry spans across the nation through the “Light on the Hill” radio ministry.
