We’ll be completing our series in First Peter today. Our adversary, the devil, continues to make a concerted effort to not only destroy our bodies, but destroy our souls! The battle is very real. God has given us everything we need to navigate through these attacks and we must stand as He asks us to or we will fall.

In Proverbs 8:13, we read, “To fear the Lord is to hate evil: I hate pride and arrogance, evil behavior and perverse speech.” This is just one of many places in Scripture where God makes it clear what He thinks of pride. He resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble. We’re going to take notice of that today on Light on the Hill through a study of First Peter chapter five.
