We know full well, and from God’s word, that we all have come short of the glory of God. And when it comes to forgiveness, we recognize that our failure to forgive leaves a scar on our soles. The reason we can forgive is because we’ve been forgiven. Coming to Christ on the cross, in His marvelous grace, our prayers are heard for those times we fall short.

There comes a point in the Christian life where all we want is what He wants. A point where the Spirit places within our hearts a desire to do God’s will and we can say with the Psalmist, “I delight to do thy will, oh God.” Jesus longs to establish the principles of His eternal promises in us so we will be fit to live in the kingdom of heaven.

While we don’t look away, we as believers in Christ Jesus know there are far more dangerous conspiracies that we should pay attention to. And that is that the devil is doing his best to confuse us with a variety of theories in hopes we miss what God has outlined for us in scripture.

Without a knowledge of this God who loves and cares for us, without God who understands our pain and knows what we’re going through we would be lost.
