Who are we becoming?
Slowly, we are losing our unique flavor of being American by uniformity.
We can not even recognize the slow transition.
I am an American citizen, but sometimes, I view and speak as an observer.
The matters that we are experiencing today are not new at all. It just repeats because humans are the same generation to generation.
It starts from the messages. The messages of lies are pervasive to the human heart and invade the nation's minds who is about to receive the changes.
"We have been preserved, these many years, in peace and prosperity. We have grown in numbers, wealth and power, as no other nation has ever grown. But we have forgotten God. We have forgotten the gracious hand which preserved us in peace, and multiplied and enriched and strengthened us; and we have vainly imagined, in the deceitfulness of our hearts, that all these blessings were produced by some superior wisdom and virtue of our own. Intoxicated with unbroken success, we have become too self sufficient to feel the necessity of redeeming and preserving Grace, too proud to pray to the God that made us!" ~ Abraham Lincoln (mid 1800)
“A prudent question is one-half of wisdom.” Francis Bacon (Late 1500)
Each generation needs to learn to question.
