Freedom in Christ: God is Omnipresent

June 22, 2014
We have been studying the attributes of God in Psalms. Today, I would like to finish our study, the attribute of God. One of the character of God that is revealed in the Bible is God is free. Psalm 139 described well about the attribute of God, God is everywhere. We call this term in a theological term, Omnipresence. God is neither lock up by our regulation nor is played by man-made scripts. Because of this character of God, there is creativity and freedom in the society that is made by these people who believe freedom in Christ. The freedom that I am talking about is different than rebellion. Our culture specifically teaches young generation rebellion, not the freedom. It is disguised freedom that actually brings people to the bondage of sins and chaos. As far as the true freedom goes, we have to reference the Bible that teaches us the healthy freedom. The book of Galatians describes very well about the sound doctrine of freedom. Our heart goes out to you!

It was for freedom that Christ set us free; therefore keep standing firm and do not be subject again to a yoke of slavery. (Galatians 5:1)

As life continues, many unknowns lie before us that can weigh us down, inflicting wounds that often get buried or ignored. We have been created to thrive in our relationships with God, our family, our neighbors and ourselves. By knowing that God is our Good Shepherd, understanding the identity that we have as his precious sheep, we can find rest and healing in our souls.
