The Church of Jesus: Contribution In an Age of Careerism
In today's world, many are caught in the trap of careerism, where work becomes an identity and even a form of worship. This weeks sermon challenges us to look at work through a biblical lens, reminding us that while work is hard and can be draining, it's also a gift from God meant for contribution to others, not just personal gain.

About Harvest Baptist Church
Harvest Baptist Church was founded in 1983. We are a welcoming family that embraces people from all walks of life. Our mission is to make mature followers of Jesus, investing in both spiritual growth and authentic relationships. Together, we live out our faith as a community, committed to loving God, each other, and the world.
About Pastor Marc Likins
In October 2016, Marc Likins was called to serve as the lead pastor of Harvest Baptist Church after previously serving as an associate pastor in Chico, California. He and his wife, Maggie, are grateful for the opportunity to minister together alongside their four children—Brennan, Willow, Cruz, and Deacon. As a family, they love helping others grow in grace, spending quality time together, and exploring the city of Pittsburgh.
Originally from Louisville, Kentucky, Marc holds a Master’s in Theology from West Coast Baptist College and a Master of Divinity from Luther Rice Seminary. A down-to-earth Bible teacher and preacher, he is passionate about engaging with skeptics and guiding others toward a deeper, more mature faith in Christ.
