There’s a popular saying among pastors concerning sermons. It goes something like this. “Tell them what you’re going to tell them, then tell them, and finally, tell them what you told them.” The apostle Paul employs this method in his writing of Romans. Having already introduced himself, he will now give a basic introduction explaining what’s ahead of us in the coming chapters of this fascinating book.

Many rate it number one! In Chapter one we are introduced to the apostle Paul, who exemplifies this great work of God for a man, in a man, and through a man.

Today we bring you Al’s final message in his verse by verse series through Colossians. If you summed up this letter, it would be a loving warning to the church of Colossi that they had strayed from the true gospel and were more interested in philosophy and “higher thought” than the real message of repentance and salvation through Christ. In our last time together, we read about the Apostle Paul’s shipwreck off the coast of Malta. We saw that, despite the challenges, Paul didn’t let his circumstances derail him from his true focus, sharing the love of Christ!
