One sure fire way to keep the fires burning in your marriage is to keep the excitement level that you had in those months when you first fell in love. Remember that feeling? Song of Solomon chapter one is our reference point today.

Over the next couple of weeks, The Dwelling Place will present a series in the Song of Solomon by our teacher, pastor Al Pittman. Marriage advice is a popular topic at your local book store, but the marriage manual we’ll be referring to is the Bible.

Today marks the end of a profitable journey through James. Pastor Al Pittman will be in chapter five, and we’ll focus on the last several verses. We could sum this section of scripture up with one word, - “Restoration.” When we wander away from the truth, the Lord’s deep desire is to restore us.

When we suffer we so often ask God to take the pain away! But the Lord has something greater in view, than our comfort. He wants to conform us into the image of Christ!
