Faith Relations - Fathers and Children part 1

For the last couple of broadcasts, Al has been discussing Husbands and Wives, and today we’re going to move along to the other members of the family - the kids. Children are a real blessing - and a real challenge. But God knows what’s best when it comes to raising Godly children. I think we can all testify to the fact that there are a lot of parents out there who could really use a refresher course in raising kids properly.

The only reason there’s any controversy is that people have consistently misinterpreted what Paul’s meaning is. Let’s get to the heart of the matter of Godly submission for husbands and wives.

The people of Colossi were not too different from believers today - they tended to stray away from their faith and trust themselves to find the answers to a fulfilling life. Paul’s letter is designed to lead them back to Christ.

But, as we’ll see in our study today, Christians are supposed to set themselves above the ways of the world - by displaying unity. It’s a lofty goal, but one that is certainly not beyond our reach.
