We’ve been traveling through the Book of Acts and today we’ll enter into a study of chapters twenty-seven and twenty-eight, the last two chapter of Acts. In our last time together, we read about the Apostle Paul’s shipwreck off the coast of Malta. We saw that, despite the challenges, Paul didn’t let his circumstances derail him from his true focus, sharing the love of Christ!

If you’re a parent, I’m sure you could use some encouraging words about raising Godly kids. It’s a tough job, isn’t it? But God has a specific plan for us parents - and He’s always there for us in those times when we become frustrated. Here’s pastor Al Pittman, with today’s study in Colossians chapter three, verses twenty and twenty one.

For the last couple of broadcasts, Al has been discussing Husbands and Wives, and today we’re going to move along to the other members of the family - the kids. Children are a real blessing - and a real challenge. But God knows what’s best when it comes to raising Godly children. I think we can all testify to the fact that there are a lot of parents out there who could really use a refresher course in raising kids properly.

We come back to pastor Al Pittman’s look at Husbands and Wives today, as we consider Colossians three, verses eighteen and nineteen.  Wives submitting to their husbands has been a controversial subject for as long as people have been reading these verses. The only reason there’s any controversy is that people have consistently misinterpreted what Paul’s meaning is. Let’s get to the heart of the matter of Godly submission for husbands and wives.

Today we’ll return to his verse by verse study through the book of Colossians, as we look at chapter three, verses twelve through seventeen. The people of Colossi were not too different from believers today - they tended to stray away from their faith and trust themselves to find the answers to a fulfilling life. Paul’s letter is designed to lead them back to Christ.

As we return to our study in Acts twenty-seven today, we find the Apostle Paul and others on a ship bound for Rome when they encounter a massive storm at sea. In this desperate situation, Paul’s reaction and ability to lead his friends and enemies alike display for us what truly set him apart as a man of God.

We’ll take a peek into the Christian’s wardrobe today on The Dwelling Place, and see what we are to wear!  Pastor Al Pittman is leading us on a journey through Colossians right now, and we have reached the middle of chapter three. Fortunately for us, our Lord cares enough about us to lay out our clothes in Scripture, so we know what to put on.

Being a Christian in a secular world isn’t always easy is it? You might even see the conflict between righteousness and worldliness on the job every day. The temptations are everywhere. But, as we’ll see in our study today, Christians are supposed to set themselves above the ways of the world - by displaying unity. It’s a lofty goal, but one that is certainly not beyond our reach.
