Today we begin a study of one of the most encouraging and uplifting chapters in the Bible, chapter two of Colossians. It’s a favorite among many because it expresses very eloquently the pure joy of knowing Jesus Christ as Savior. If you don’t have that joy in your life, then please take the next twenty minutes or so and join us as we look at the first ten verses of Colossians chapter two.

The marvelous thing about the Christian life is that we are not called to rely on our own sufficiency, but rather on the sufficiency of Christ.

You’ve no doubt been asked to do something that was a stretching experience for you, that called you to go out of your comfort zone. Perhaps it was giving a speech in class, or doing something else that you really didn’t want to do. Well, sometimes our call to ministry will lead us beyond our comfort zone too, and that’s a good thing as we’ll soon see.

The Apostle Paul is giving a series of very important exhortations to the Thessalonian believers, and they are just as applicable to us today.
