What does Yahweh Yireh mean? What does Yahweh Ropheka or Yahweh Rophe mean? Rabbi Schneider shares that El Shaddai, God Almighty, was the name known prior to revealing His covenant name, Yahweh. Yahweh's name is used over 7,000 times in the Old Testament. In Hebrew, there are no vowels. Learn how the scribes hid the name of God to prevent gentiles from using God's name in blasphemous ways. In the ancient Hebrew language, there was no "J" sound. As language changes forms, we see how the accent markings and the new sounds caused the gentile church to mispronounce the personal name of God. Yahweh Yireh (God Will Provide) is a combination that God does with His name to show you what He will do. Know this so that you will learn to trust Yahweh Yireh. Father, thank You, that You are Yahweh Yireh and that You will provide.

Who is Elohim? Is God's name so sacred we shouldn't say it? Rabbi Schneider shares that God has a personal name. (This is the very first in a series of messages about the names of God.) By knowing God's name, Yahweh, we encounter God and know who He is. But Elohim is a title, the plural of El, weighted and recognizing the godhead as three-in-one. The concept of relationship stems out of God's own nature as multidimensional. YHWH/Yahweh revealed His covenant name to Moses so we can call on Yaweh in love and reverance. Call upon God by His name, Yahweh, because He wants you to know Him. He wants a relationship with you. Jehovah is a mispronunciation because ancient scribes concealed God's name to confuse gentiles to avoid blaspheming it. God's name Yahweh is a verb and He is continuous, unfinished action because God is alive and involved in your life forever. Yahweh is your God and He loves you.
