Exciting news! This week marks the launch of my new book, 101 Bible Questions: And the Surprising Answers You May Not Hear in Church. It also marks the start of our new 101 Bible Questions series, beginning with a message on salvation. Throughout the New Testament, the theme of salvation resonates powerfully. It’s a message of hope, grace, and our Savior’s incredible love. As we explore numerous salvation verses, we’ll uncover the free gift of total rightness with God, the true significance of water baptism, and the reality that spiritually dead people can call upon the Lord and be saved. Let’s grow together in faith through this 101 Bible Questions series and deepen our understanding of the Gospel’s transformative power! Discussion Questions for “101 Bible Questions” – Salvation: 1. What themes do you see throughout the salvation verses in the New Testament? 2. What is the purpose of water baptism? 3. Why is it so important to recognize the world’s lost condition? 4. React to this true statement: Spiritually dead people can call upon the Lord. 5. What stands out or means the most to you from this message on salvation?

What is your view of the atonement? I have forgiven my abuser, but as a Christian, must I still choose to be around them? Are we constantly opening the door to demons when we sin? Does God send Satan to torture people? Why did Paul lay hands on Timothy? Do we go to God right away when we die? Is the book of Revelation always to be taken literally?

How do we explain the baptism events in the book of Acts if it doesn’t cause salvation? Is there a second baptism of the Holy Spirit? Do we need to plead the blood of Christ sometimes? I feel like my faith has been shipwrecked, and I don’t know how to put it back together. Any help?

Why did Paul say to be eager for spiritual gifts if Jesus is the central focus? Is Ephesians 5 offering a list of Christians who lose their salvation through bad behavior? Is it okay to attend Alcoholics Anonymous? Why did John the Baptist say that Jesus would perform a greater baptism on us?

Is there any place for teaching self-improvement? What about in a secular setting? Could there possibly be an end to the punishment of unbelievers at some point? I struggle with obsessive thoughts, and I sometimes wonder if I should only be sharing the Gospel all the time. What are your thoughts?

Wow! The new covenant has revolutionized my entire life! Can you help me understand Hebrews 10:26-29 better? Some people say it's about a Christian, but what's really going on in Hebrews 10? I'm a new missionary, and I've started to evangelize, and now people are telling me not to judge them. What should I do?

Might some promises in Isaiah be spiritually relevant to the church? Are the “irrevocable gifts” in Romans 11 evidence that we can’t lose our salvation? Is Israel right to defend themselves against Hamas? (Yes!) Is God judging Israel through recent events? (No!)

My final message in our “Liberated” series unpacks more powerful insights in Galatians. Thus far, we’ve explored themes of freedom, grace, and the new creation. In chapter 6, Paul introduces “the law of Christ” – an intriguing phrase that might make you wonder if Paul is contradicting himself regarding law and grace. (Of course, he’s not, and you’ll find out why!) We’ll also explore the idea of sowing and reaping, where you’ll gain a fresh perspective on what it means to “invest” in God’s Spirit and get a return – a life of peace. I’m eager for you to hear these truths and embrace God’s grace even further. So, enjoy! Discussion Questions for Galatians 6: 1. What is “the law of Christ”? 2. In your own words, explain the sowing and reaping concept Paul introduces here. 3. React to this statement: “Those who are circumcised do not even keep the Law themselves.” 4. What does it mean to be “crucified to the world”? 5. React to this statement: The only “rule” to walk by is “the new creation.” 6. What is your biggest takeaway from our study in Galatians?
