Those who are in Christ have been justified before God. But salvation means much more; it means that we are sanctified, that God actually leads us into holiness. To Christians, the cross of Christ is the source of all hope and comfort. Yet the same cross that is so attractive to the followers of Christ is exactly what keeps others from coming to him at all. How could there be any power in a man hanging on a cross?

If one person claims to have witnessed a crime, it's possible you would question his reliability, but if 3 people gave the same eyewitness account, you would accept their unified testimony as trustworthy. The Word of God, The Holy Spirirt, and the blood of Jesus Christ all testify in unison to the hearts of believers bearing witness that we are the children of God. Does your heart respond to the Good News of salvation?

Probably because we all want to think of ourselves as peace loving individuals. But the fact is, we are at war, with God. The good news is, that God has made a peace offering towards us. Will you accept it?

When a witness gives testimony in court, the opposing counsel can cross-examine him to test whether or not he is a reliable witness. It is possible to mistake the voice of the devil or the voice of self for the voice of God. We must cross-examine every spiritual experience by the Word of God to make sure it conforms to divine truth. Does the Holy Spirit brear clear and irrefutable witness to your spirit that you are a child of God?
