In Proverbs chapter 30 an older man is teaching younger men, giving them wisdom they’ll need as they head into their adult life.  And we stand to benefit, no matter what stage of life we’re in.  We’ll be examining a few creatures that are small in size, and each teach us something valuable about life!

In this passage the phrase, “There is a Generation,” is repeated four times.  And for good reason.  He speaks of a generation rather negatively, and one to be avoided.  As we move along, I think you’ll see how this applies to this generation that is in decline, morally and spiritually.

Without a doubt prayer is the activity of a wise person.  But what should we be praying about?  In Proverbs chapter thirty we find some clues.  A few petitions of God that are found in a wise person’s prayer time.  The first, as we saw last time, was protection from falsehood and lying.

About Damian Kyle

Damian Kyle committed his life to the Lord in 1980 at Calvary Chapel Napa California at the age of 25. He had previously been employed as a cable splicer with the phone company. His family moved from Napa to Modesto in June of 1985 to plant a Calvary Chapel with the blessing of their home church. He now serves as the pastor of Calvary Chapel in Modesto, California.
