A Wise Person's Three Petitions of God Part 2

Without a doubt prayer is the activity of a wise person.  But what should we be praying about?  In Proverbs chapter thirty we find some clues.  A few petitions of God that are found in a wise person’s prayer time.  The first, as we saw last time, was protection from falsehood and lying.

Today we continue our series, “Timeless Wisdom,” with a peak into Proverbs chapter thirty.  Pastor Damian has noticed three petitions in verses 7-9, that really should be a part of our prayer lives.  The first has to do with protection from falsehood and lying.

Just when you think mankind couldn’t get any lower or be more depraved, they sink to new levels.  I’m sure you can think of some examples of people living life on the level of an animal!  What’s the cure for this stupidity?  And how can we live the much better life according to God’s wisdom?  An answer is right around the corner as we go deeper into the Proverbs in search of Timeless Wisdom.

About Damian Kyle

Damian Kyle committed his life to the Lord in 1980 at Calvary Chapel Napa California at the age of 25. He had previously been employed as a cable splicer with the phone company. His family moved from Napa to Modesto in June of 1985 to plant a Calvary Chapel with the blessing of their home church. He now serves as the pastor of Calvary Chapel in Modesto, California.
