We’ll be in the final chapter of Genesis today with pastor Ed Taylor, where we find three burials! The first of which is Jacob. Death is an appointment for each of us. But you don’t need to be afraid of it. This is something we can be prepared for just as Jacob was!

Ever purchase some red shiny apples at the store, cause they looked soooo good? Then you take them home, bite into one, and discover its mushy and tastes awful! Not everything is what it appears to be! And that’s true in the spiritual realm as well. Today on Abounding Grace we’ll learn to discern, so the next time a Holy Spirit alarm goes off, we’ll know what to do.

Pastor Ed Taylor is in Genesis chapter 49 today. Jacob is on his deathbed, speaking to his sons. You’re about to hear these final blessings. Through it all we’ll see how we can experience God’s hand of blessing on our lives, and be used of God, so we can finish our race well!

When someone is about to die, and know it’s coming, typically they want to share what’s on their heart with those they love. And those last words can be deeply meaningful to those left behind. In today’s study we are approaching the end of Jacob’s life and so he will call his sons to pronounce a blessing upon them.

Pastor Ed Taylor opens Genesis chapter 48 today. Jacob is on his deathbed, and seeking to bless his kids before he leaves planet earth. We’ll see how as parents we can do the same to our children.

In today’s study of Genesis chapter 48 we are approaching the end of Jacob’s life. He’s at a much different place here at the end of the road, when compared to his early years. He’s no longer the deceiver, manipulator! It stands out as a reminder that our spiritual growth is slow and steady.
