The Case for Easter by Lee Strobel

You might think of it as an investigation into Christ’s death and resurrection, that answers a few key questions. Was Jesus’ death a sham? Was his tomb really empty? Was He seen alive after his death on the cross? This would be a great resource to share around Easter time.

When we’re not seeing eye to eye with another person, or they hurt or offend us, it can often lead to bitterness or division!  But there’s a better way to handle these conflicts when they arise, and the Bible lays out the roadmap to conflict resolution!  It all starts with humility!

Been in a disagreement or conflict recently?  We all have them from time to time, so it becomes necessary to learn how to handle them biblically.  And we’ll set out to do just that today on Abounding Grace as we get back into Acts chapter fifteen.  This will certainly help you, the next time you’re not seeing eye to eye with another person!

We’ll have disagreements and conflicts from time to time.   Whether it’s with our spouse, coworker or someone in the church.  And sometimes it can even get rather heated!  Today on Abounding Grace we’ll observe a disagreement between Paul and Barnabus.  They had a much different perspective on the way things should go, and you’ll no doubt be able to relate on some level!  Pastor Ed Taylor will point out that sometimes it’s best to just depart as friends, like they did.

Today on Abounding Grace we’ll learn what happens when a person sins and then repents!  God forgives them, and so should we.  Pastor Ed Taylor encourages us in that direction through today’s message based on Second Corinthians two.

We’ve all had our fair share of disagreements with others, and sometimes it can even lead to a parting of the ways… like it did for a couple of guys we’ll meet up with today on Abounding Grace.  Pastor Ed Taylor has a look into a particular disagreement found in Acts chapter fifteen.  It’s between Paul and Barnabus, concerning John Mark.  Pastor Ed will relate all of this to the conflicts we so often have, even among Christians.

Disagreements are bound to happen in the church, but if we’re not careful they can do great damage to the church! Today on Abounding Grace we’ll see how James used great wisdom when a disagreement popped up in the early church.  We’ll hear what he has to say about the importance of unity in just a moment.

We’re in the middle of a series of studies in Acts, and in chapter fifteen we observe a disagreement over how a person is really saved.  Some suggest that works come into play in the salvation process, and others contend no we’re saved by grace through faith and that alone.  Those two camps are still around today, in case you haven’t noticed.

How is a person saved?  There’s no greater question we could ask and answer than that!  And today on Abounding Grace we’ll learn that the answer is wonderfully simple.  And to attempt to add to it will lead you down a road of bondage!  That’s what happened in the first century church as we’ll hear today, as we join pastor Ed Taylor in Acts chapter fifteen starting with verse seven.

Back in the first century there were those that were under the impression that they needed to keep the law of Moses in order to be saved.  That sort of thinking still exists today.  But the problem is, we break the law every day.  So where does that leave us?  We’ll talk about it today on Abounding Grace as pastor Ed Taylor digs deeper into Acts chapter fifteen.

When we know of a person that’s living in sin, it’s tempting to just look the other way and think it’s none of our business!  But as we’ll see today on Abounding Grace the much better response is to reach out to help restore the individual!  Now with that said a great amount of love needs to be behind the approach.  Pastor Ed Taylor will help us with that as we pay another visit to Second Corinthians two.
