The Will of God Part 2

Maybe you’ve noticed when you’re living out the will of God the road can be difficult and rocky at times. Though we’ll suffer, even in the will of the Lord, God is still accomplishing something great! And doors often swing wide open, that wouldn’t otherwise be there, for us to share the good news! Today on a Daily Walk we’ll notice what happened to the apostle Paul as he was in the will of God.

Today we’ll study Matthew chapter ten, and discover the kind of people that Jesus calls to be His laborers. You’ll be encouraged to discover they are just like you and me.

Today on a Daily Walk our teacher pastor John Randall opens the book of Acts. In chapter twenty we receive Paul’s farewell address and a powerful example of ministry. Paul was the sort of guy who didn’t hold anything back or water down the Gospel message. He remained focused on Christ and God’s plan for His life, regardless of what others thought or did. And wouldn’t you agree we need men and women like that today!

We’re currently going verse by verse through the book of Acts. On today’s broadcast we join pastor John in Acts chapter twenty. Having discerned it was time to leave Ephesus the apostle Paul and his missionary team are now headed to Macedonia and then on to Greece. And there are some things that stood out in Paul’s life that John wants to draw our attention to. Paul was faithful, consistent, a humble servant, and endured in the midst of difficulty. What a great model for us to consider and follow.

On today’s broadcast we’ll take you into Acts chapter nineteen and the account of the apostle Paul’s third missionary journey in the city of Ephesus. It was there that God worked unusual miracles by the hands of Paul. But the devil was at work there too. And the devil is still at work today seeking to keep you from either coming to the Lord or growing in the Lord. Though the devil is a crafty deceiver still he’s no match for the Lord!

We enter Acts eighteen where we read about a time in Paul’s life when he was fearful and discouraged. And maybe that’s where you’re at today?

We’re going to resume pastor John Randall’s study of Acts, as we look at chapter seventeen once again. The scene shifts to Athens today. As Paul the apostle looks around, he sees the city full of idols, and so he begins presenting just what they needed to hear... the Gospel message! And the Lord gives us many opportunities to do the same if we’re open and willing. Let’s be encouraged together to believe and then share the Gospel.
