Christianity as a whole hangs on one important event, The Resurrection of Christ.  Without the Resurrection, every claim that Jesus ever made is immediately called into question. The Good News is….  it’s true. The Resurrection actually happened!  And here’s something else to consider- Our resurrection as believers is as sure as Jesus’ resurrection!  And we’re going to look into this on a Daily Walk.

What if Jesus died and remained in the grave?  In First Corinthians fifteen we’ll discover if there’s no resurrection our faith is empty and our preaching is also empty. In fact if there’s no resurrection we are liars still in our sins with no hope! Talk about some serious ramifications.  But the good news is, the resurrection actually happened and there’s overwhelming evidence to back up that claim.

We are continuing our verse by verse study through Revelation with pastor John Randall. Last time we had just begun to get to know the two witnesses, described for us in chapter eleven, when we ran out of time. So today, pastor John will bring us the rest of his message. As is the case with much of this book, debate has raged over the real identity of the two preachers, and Pastor John will point out the varying opinions that exist. We’ll also find out today that we too as Christians our witnesses of Jesus, to represent heaven.

Within the church there’s great debate and even misunderstanding centering around passages like the one we’ll be looking at.  It deals with women in ministry in the church.  We learned last time how it’s vitally important that we consider the context so we don’t misunderstand what God is saying here.  We'll expand on that today.

Pastor John Randall will be leading a study based in First Corinthians chapter fourteen.  Now upon first glance this section may raise a few eyebrows, and leave you wondering, “What’s that all about!”   You see it’s talking about women being silent in the church.  Pastor John says we need to understand the context, otherwise we’ll totally miss the point.

The gifts of tongues and prophecy continues to be at the center of great controversy in the Christian Church. But God never intended it to be that way.  Have we totally missed the point of why these gifts were given?  Join us for an important study in First Corinthians fourteen, today on a Daily Walk.

Some shy away from the gifts of tongues and prophecy because of what they have seen or heard about them. Others don’t know if they are still for today or were they meant only for the early Church? Today on a Daily Walk we’re looking at Tongues and Prophecy in the church, and their proper use.

We’ve been studying the Book of Revelation of late.   During the Tribulation period the Lord will send out two witnesses to testify of His grace, love and forgiveness.  Though they’ll have the power and authority of God they’ll be opposed at every turn.  Similarly we’re called to be God’s witnesses in a hostile environment.  Thankfully we have the power of the Spirit to help.
