You can imagine the difference in life that it makes.  We’ve been making our way, verse by verse through the New Testament book of Romans. And chapter eight asserts God is for us. This great truth assures us that no matter what we face in life, if God is for us, we’re on the winning side.

Christmas is just a few short days away, and it’s a time believers all over the world celebrate the birth of a Savior. That’s really what this season is all about.  Today pastor John Randall opens Luke chapter two and revisits the Christmas story, showing us that the birth of the King was both supernatural and sacrificial.

We come to a very familiar verse today on a Daily Walk, Romans eight twenty-eight!  It reminds us that believers are in the hands of God, who in His remarkable providence works all things together for good.  But how do you really know that all things are working together for good in your life?  Maybe that seems hard to believe when the doctor says its cancer, or you have a flat tire on the side of the road.  Pastor John Randall looks into this very question today, as we return to Romans chapter eight.

As believers in Christ we look forward to the day we’re in heaven, when every tear will be wiped away.  There’ll be no more suffering, sickness, or death.  But in the meantime, we will experience pain and suffering.  Today on a Daily Walk, pastor John Randall will help us maintain the right perspective through those painful trials, with eyes set on Jesus.

Perhaps the most difficult challenge we face concerning God or the greatest struggle some have with God is why does He allow suffering. The problem of pain is an age-old problem and a very difficult one. And I should add it’s equally or even a greater challenge to the believer, who knows God and knows that God loves them. How do we deal with the problem of pain? Why is there so much suffering in the world? Is there a remedy? We’ll get some answers as we continue in the book of Romans with pastor John Randall.

Know of some families who have recently gone through the adoption process? Maybe you’ve adopted a child or two yourself? Obviously an adopted child will receive all the blessings and benefits that go with being apart of that particular family.  Today on a Daily Walk we’ll see that Christians have been adopted into the family of God.  What exactly does that mean for you and me?  Let’s turn to Romans chapter eight and find out.
