When you read the Word of God, you find that prophets are always rejected by the people. Even the religious leaders of Israel did not want to tolerate the prophets of the Lord. Why is that? Because humanity has that sinful nature, and that sinful nature speaks to our flesh and it emphasizes our will, and it rejects the will of God, we need to change if we are going to find peace and joy and contentment, if we are going to find a life that has meaning and significance, a life that has an eternal aspect to it. We need to experience redemption. We need to be born again, and we need to agree with God.

We have been focusing in on the resurrection of Messiah, and there's not a more important event than his resurrection, and we learned a very important truth, and that is that it was God, the Father, that raised his son from the dead, meaning simply that the resurrection and the way that it occurred teaches us that God accepted Messiah's work on the cross. Now, when did he do this work? Well, the Bible is very clear. He did it on Passover, and Passover is tied to redemption.

Welcome to our second installment in our new series in times truth. And for this edition, we're going to focus in on one term, and that is MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT. Now, who is the word of God referring to when it speaks about Babylon the Great and calls it a mystery? Well, in actuality, there's nothing mysterious about Babylon, if you know the Book of Revelation, because what the Word of God is referring to is an empire that is going to rise up in the last days, and ultimately it will be the antichrist that rules over this empire.

God is going to reveal, through Amos, three visions, and each of these visions relate to destruction. God, who is merciful, who is full of grace, He is going to relent, but there is going to be that change that he promises. Because without that change, Israel will not become the people that God has commanded them to become. Take out your Bible and look with me to the book of Amos in chapter seven.

We have seen that God has a plan. Now we are all called to a certain degree to serve the Lord, but there is that special expectation upon the first born. And I made mention last week that that concept of firstborn relates to a priority, and we need to be people that demonstrate that God is the priority of our life, that we put Him first, and everything else in our life is subjected to him.

We are studying the greatest event of all of human history, the resurrection of our Lord and Savior, the Messiah, who is called Yeshua, or Jesus. And the Bible teaches us something that facts are established if there are two or three witnesses, and we know that from the biblical account and the Bible has no heirs, the Bible is a book of truth. We learned that Messiah appeared to hundreds of individuals. What does that mean?

The most important event in all of human history is the resurrection of our Lord and Savior, Messiah, Yeshua, Jesus, Christ. And unfortunately, there is much confusion about that event. For example, on what day did it occur if you know your Bible, the answer is very clear. It's not debatable if we use all of Scripture to help us arrive at the proper answer. Now many people are confused, because this year, for example, we find that there are many days between when he was crucified on Passover and when the resurrection occurs.

Shalom and welcome to our new series entitled End Times truth. And there's going to be many installments in this series, I would encourage you to share them with other people, because there's much confusion about the end times. Let's get started. In this first installment, we're going to deal with a phrase that we find in the Bible, and that phrase is the days of Noah. What does that mean? When? When Yeshua used that expression, what was he teaching? It comes to us within a very specific context, and that is the coming of the Son of Man. And when we talk about the coming of the Son of Man, there are two possibilities.

We have seen throughout the book of Amos that God is not pleased with the world, and the primary reason for this is that Israel is not doing what God has called Israel to do. We all know that familiar verse to be a light unto the nations. In other words, God expects Israel to influence the world in regard to his purposes, his plan, his will, and Israel isn't committed to this. Why?

Baruch holds a PhD in Jewish Studies. His dissertation was in the translation techniques of the Septuagint. Baruch has been married for 30 years to his wife, Rivka, and they have three adult children. The Kormans live in Israel.
